Family Vacation to London, 2012

When it comes to picking a destination for a family vacation, many tend
to go with the same old routine.
While some constantly return to their favourite campsite, theme park, or city, I prefer to spread my wings, venture out into unchartered waters, try something new. For this reason,
our last family vacation was in London, England.

Since our online booking for our hotel in Kensington fell through, we opted to stay at one of the amazing hotels at terminal 5, a terminal that is used exclusively for British Airways guests. It
turned out that this was the best decision that we could have made, as
the hotel offered us such convenience that it is difficult for me to
imagine staying anywhere else in London.

With the tube station, that is what they call the underground public
transportation system in London, mere minutes from our doorstep trips to
and from the city were an absolute breeze. Furthermore, the area
surrounding the airport, as well as the hotel itself, offered some of
the finest restaurants that I have ever come across. What a delight it
was to come back from Buckingham Palace, albeit exhausted from all the
walking, to a warmly lit restaurant with my family.

We had such a delightful time in London that we are considering
returning in a few years. We would go again next year, but, like I have
already mentioned, we enjoy trying new things for our vacations. I
wonder if we would be able to get a hotel at gatwick airport
that offered the same luxurious services? Who am I kidding! Of course
we can, because London is the place where luxury was born. So, if you
are looking for wonderful accommodation, convenience, all at a very
reasonable price, look into airport hotels. What they offer their guests
 may just surprise you.
