If you are on your way organizing a vacation in Rome then you should know that the best time to travel is during April, May and in the end of September through October. In August we don't suggest you to visit Rome, because it is too much crowded, full of tourist and student mobs, so you won't enjoy the view as well. Travelling too early or too late in the year is also risky, because most of the attractions are opened for a while, several house per day and there are even some of them that are closed completely. Another advantage is that the airfares drop quite a bit when “shoulder season” begins in the early autumn. During this period the days are still warm and nights are slightly cool plus there are not so many people around, so that you can enjoy your trip as well.
So when you travel to Rome and you have more than four days day, visiting the main attractions in Rome is a must. If you plan to visit most of the attractions then you need at least seven days.
Plus as much as you stay in Rome you are able to catch a discounts on the booking in some of the
hotels in Rome and even the airfares can be discounted quite a bit.
