Charming Churches & Chapels in Barcelona

I personally consider the idea to explore churches and chapels in the biggest European cities, because they are a reflection from the past. In Barcelona this is a normal view, because the city passed through ups and downs in the city history. That is why, I will mention some of them in order to give better understanding for those people who think that church is a simple building for prayers.
Esglesia de Santa Maria del Mar is one of the most prestigious churches and one of the best examples of Catalan Gothic which style is covered with fame and amazing architecture. The interior is filled with interesting and colorful shapes. Also, the access is very easy for tourists, who in fact can take benefit from the vacation rental in Barcelona.
The Capella de Sant Miquel & Esglesia al Monestir de Pedralbes is my next target of exploration. It is a Gothic cluster and the Capella de Sant Miquel, covered with wall paints by Catalan artist Ferrer Bassa during 1346. This Gothic church gathers the alabaster tomb of Queen Elisenda and the monastery`s founder.
Last, but not least is Capella de Sant Jordi. If you look inside the Palau de la Generalitat, you can discover the fine 15th-century chapel, dedicated to Catalonia`s patron saint.
Having this information in mind I can say that most tourists prefer to be closer to such sights and to stay in comfortable short term rentals Barcelona apartments. This is a good way to spend some time surrounded by the grandeur of Barcelona.
